Charm Bracelet from the Berry Points Mail-In Offer (& other mail-in offer jewelry)

There were "berry points" on the boxes of the vintage Strawberry Shortcake dolls, miniatures, & playsets.  A catalog came in each doll's box, which included a form for a mail-in offer.  You could collect the "berry points" and send them in for jewelry; including the ultra rare and very sought after charm bracelet and removable charms!

You would have needed 10 BERRY POINTS to receive the bracelet & one SSC Charm.

You would have needed 15 BERRY POINTS to receive one set of three charms.

One of the early offers was for a set of jewelry in a round tin.  There was a necklace, a bracelet (with a big non-removable charm) and a ring.  You need 5 Berry Points for a ring, 8 for a bracelet, or 12 for a necklace.  Its unclear, but it seems like if you collected all 12 points you would get the entire set.  This offer was out in 1980, and probably part of 1981.  It expired May 1, 1982.  These were packaged in small, clear plastic bags.  I've seen a Strawberry Shortcake with her hands to her face and a Strawberry Shortcake with a watering can as the larger charms on the charm bracelet, as well as single and double chain links on the bracelet!  I don't really know the explanation for the variations.. unless certain ones were actually store bought rather than part of the offer.  Also, the bracelet with the larger, non-removable charm has less links than the other.

In a later offer, a different charm bracelet was introduced.  It was the same except it had more links, and came with a small REMOVABLE Strawberry Shortcake charm.  There were two different ones - one was SSC Waving, and one was SSC Sitting on a Berry.  The one where she is on a berry is ULTRA ULTRA rare and I haven't ever seen it pictured in a catalog.  Maybe it wasn't ever advertised, just something they started sending out instead of the other.

Starter Charm Bracelet with small removable charm (SSC Sitting on a Berry)

There were four sets of three charms that were available to add to the charm bracelet, for a total of 14 charms.  The second two sets are the rarest.  These are pictured mint in their packages.

1.  LEMON MERINGUE, CUSTARD, APRICOT

2.  APPLE DUMPLIN', PUPCAKE, RASPBERRY TART

3.  GOOSEBERRY, LIME CHIFFON, BUTTER COOKIE

4.  ANGEL CAKE, CHERRY CUDDLER, JELLY BEAR

(I sold this incomplete bracelet. The charms that are missing from it are: Gooseberry, SSC Sitting on a Berry, & Butter Cookie.)
